Ruby Rose, an Australian model-turned-actress will be making her debut on Netflix’s hit prison series Orange is the New Black on its forthcoming third season.

Ruby Rose Joins ‘Orange Is The New Black’ Cast

Rose officially announced her acting gig on Orange is the New Black on her Facebook page along with a clip from a new spread in Elle.

“Grab yourself a copy of U.S Elle and read about my new role on a small unheard of series called Orange Is The New Black ( insert sarcasm ),” Rose wrote. “Haha I am very excited and honored to be named one of the Magazines fresh faces on TV to watch in 2015.”

 

“Ruby Rose oozes raw sex appeal even in an orange jumpsuit, as the newest inmate – and lust object of both Piper and Alex – at Litchfield Penitentiary on this summer’s third season Orange is the New Black,” reads a blurb inside Elle.

In Orange is the New Black, Piper (Taylor Schilling) gets sent to prison for helping ex-girlfriend Alex (Laura Prepon) smuggle drug money. Though she’s engaged to a man named Larry (Jason Biggs) when she arrives at Litchfield, she and fellow inmate Alex soon wind up embarking on another go at their reliably complicated and often manipulative relationship.

Rose, who is engaged to author Roald Dahl’s granddaughter Phoebe Dahl, previously acted in TV series Mr. and Mrs. Murder and feature Around the Block. In addition to modeling and acting, she’s worked as a DJ, MTV VJ and recording artist.
