Rosie O’Donnell is scheming a return to daytime television, teaming up with former collaborators Dick Robertson and Scott Carlin for a 2011 syndication talk show. The show is meant to coincide with Oprah Winfrey’s imminent departure.
Robertson and Carlin were the architects behind The Rosie O’Donnell Show at Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution until O’Donnell resigned to focus on her adopted children. O’Donnell has been conspicuously absent from daytime television since bowing out of ABC’s The View after a bitter dispute with her co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck in May 2007. –AHMED MORI
