Rosie O’Donnell Brands Donald Trump’s Presidential Campaign ‘A Nightmare’

Never one to mince her words, when asked to give her thoughts on Donald Trump‘s presidential campaign, comedian and actress Rosie O’Donell had this to say: “It’s a nightmare. That’s my quote.”

The actress made the comments in an interview with Page Six while discussing her upcoming role in hit TV show Empire. Her words come as no surprise as she and Trump have been trading barbs in the media for years. Back in 2006 O’Donnell slammed Trump on The View, calling him a “snake-skinned oil man,” following a spat of controversy centered around the Miss America. Trump of course responded, branding O’Donnell a “real loser” and a “woman out of control.”

Things heated up again when Fox anchor Megan Kelly confronted Trump about disparaging past remarks he’d made about women at August’s GOP debate. When asked how he could justify calling women “fat pigs, dogs, slobs, disgusting animals,” Trump quipped he’d only been referring to O’Donnell. O’Donnell quickly took to Twitter, writing “try explaining that 2 ur kids.”

When he took the reigns as host of Saturday Night Live just last week Trump took the opportunity to take yet another shot at O’Donnell.

“She said some things about me that were hurtful and untrue,” he said. “I said some things about her that were mean, but completely accurate.”
