Roseanne Barr Called Out For Controversial Comments On Donald Trump Jr.’s Podcast

Roseanne Barr, former star of TV series Roseanne, made more controversial statements when she appeared on a podcast Triggered with Donald Trump Jr. this week.

In the episode, the writer and comedian discussed her career, and the importance of “calling out the woke mob.”

Donald Trump Jr. went live with Barr on the video platform Rumble, in an hour and 20-minute episode entitled, “The Left Wants to Kill Comedy, but They’ll Never Stop Roseanne.”

In their conversation, Barr spoke candidly about her experience with cancel culture and her fall from fame.

She recalled the May 2018 tweet that led to her downfall, when she posted: “Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj,” in reference to Valerie Jarrett, former White House aide to former President Barack Obama. Jarrett is African American.

The tweet sparked uproar from the public, and the president of ABC Entertainment, Bob Iger, issued a statement, “Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show.”

The series revolves around a working-class family in the fictional town of Lanford, Illinois.

In July, Barr addressed the tweet in an interview on Fox News, where she stated she had no idea that Jarrett was African-American.

“I’m so sorry that you thought I was racist and that you thought my tweet was racist because it wasn’t. It was political,” Barr told the interviewer she’d say to Jarrett.

She couldn’t help but add, “Plus I’d tell her she’s gotta get a new haircut, I mean seriously, she needs a new haircut.”

In Barr’s interview with Trump Jr., she said that Iger personally fired her.

She also claimed that they “used” her dismissal to allegedly cover up other scandals within the company.

Barr went on to say that Democrats wanted the “poor” to stay poor, and stated that it was “a miracle I was born poor and rose… This no longer happens due to the stupid laws established by classist Democrats.”

She claimed that “part of classism is racism,” and stated that black and Jewish people should stop voting Democratic in the future.

In a snippet of the interview posted to X but since removed, Barr stated, “I don’t think anything is going to wake up the Jews and the blacks who vote Democrat. They’re so severely mind-controlled… I don’t think they can get it.”

Fans expressed outrage about the post.

One user commented: “This outright racism and anti-semitic commentary is brought to you by the Trump campaign.”

“Red flag when you include ‘the’ in front of a minority group,” wrote another.
