Roseanne Barr
On Thursday night, Roseanne Barr again addressed the infamous tweet that ultimately caused her ABC sitcom Roseanne to be canceled. In an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, she apologized to Valerie Jarrett but also had a suggestion for her hair.
Barr reiterated that she thought Jarrett wasn’t black, as she had claimed in the recently posted video of her yelling “I thought the b–––h was white!” Additionally, Barr said she was “shocked” by the backlash she received for her comments.

“You could have knocked me over with a feather when they said she was African-American,” Barr said. “I thought she was Middle Eastern.”
“I’m so sorry that you thought I was racist and that you thought my tweet was racist, because it wasn’t. It was political,” Barr told Hannity, but speaking to Jarrett.
She also apologized for the “misunderstanding” around her “ill-worded” tweet. Barr also said she, “never meant to hurt anybody or say anything negative about an entire race of people which I think 30 years of my work can attest to.”
However, Barr couldn’t help but move past the apology, continuing the conversation about Jarrett’s haircut.
“Plus I’d tell her she’s gotta get a new haircut, I mean seriously, she needs a new haircut,” Barr said.
Though Jarrett has yet to respond, she said on The View that she would not be tuning into the interview.
“If one of you said something like that about me, that might hurt my feelings,” Jarrett said. “This isn’t what keeps me up at night.”
