Rosario Dawson stars opposite Chris Rock in his new feature film Top Five as a New York Times journalist interviewing Rock’s character, a comedian who wants to prove his mettle as a serious actor.

Rosario Dawson’s ‘Top Five’ Premiere Look

On the red carpet for Top Five‘s premiere in New York City Wednesday night, Dawson looked radiant in a black, lacy Elie Saab dress. The unique creation’s sheer lace top was set off by its dramatic, tiered skirt. Dawson completed the edgy look with a cropped undercut.

Dawson hinted that she’d be bringing a shorter hairstyle to the event with an Instagram snap that showed a pile of chopped off hair on the floor that she captioned, “Oops! I did it again!”

Following the premiere, Dawson stayed in the Elie Saab dress to attend the afterparty, where she hung out with fellow Rent actress Tracie Thoms.
