Ronda Rousy, the UFC Women’s bantamweight champion, has landed within the pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Rousey, who is 10-0 in the MMA, is the first MMA fighter to ever be featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She’s accompanied in the pages of the annual edition with fellow athlete, tennis star Caroline Wozniacki. The athletes shot their pictures alongside models on Captiva Island in the Gulf of Mexico.
“Pretending I know WuShu … @gfc_diamond’s first comment was ‘you’d get deducted points because your hands are wrong,'” Rousey captioned one of the pictures (above).
For another photograph she shared on Instagram, Rousey wrote, “This shot really proved @walteriooss‘ brilliance to me… Such an unlikely spot his eye found that ended up looking like the field in the last scene of gladiator ….”
“Okay last @si_swimsuit – I’m going to sparring….” Rousey captioned one of her more dramatic shots from the photoshoot.
