Ronda Rousey, the UFC women’s bantamweight champion, has confirmed that she is in a relationship with UFC heavyweight Travis Browne.

Rounda Rousey And Travis Browne

“I don’t talk about my personal life much, that’s why it’s called ‘personal life,'” Rousey told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne. “It’s true that Travis and I are in a relationship. I’ve really enjoyed the time we have spent together and getting to know one another. And that’s all I’m going to say about it.”

Unlike Rousey, Browne was more than happy to dish on his budding relationship with Rousey earlier this week. When asked about the rumors that the two were dating, Browne not only confirmed it, but went into some detail about how the relationship began.

“Dating is for children. Dating is for kids,” Browne told MMA Fighting. “Over the summer, through all the s–t that I had to shuffle through, that I had to sift through, Ronda and I started talking throughout the summer and I’ll say now that we are together. She’s my woman and I’m her man. There’s no boyfriend, girlfriend stuff. There’s no dating. We’re together.”

According to Browne, as teammates at Glendale Fighting Club in Los Angeles, it has never been awkward between him and Rousey. The two had been training together before developing feelings for one another, and now that they’re together, when they’re in the ring, it isn’t something that crosses either of their minds.

Browne realizes that Rousey’s star is on the rise in the mainstream media with TV appearances and even film roles. However, to him, she’s just a hardworking athlete who’s also a sweetheart.

“I know her as one of the hardest working athletes that I’ve ever seen, in this gym busting her butt on a daily basis. And through our own personal experiences of how compassionate and really how much of a sweetheart she really is,” Browne said. “She’s a huge star and that’s great for her and I’m happy for her. I want nothing to do but support that aspect in her life.”
