Disgraced former Illinois Governor and failed reality television star, Rod Blagojevich, is set to endure yet more torment in the public eye after a jury ended a fortnight’s deliberation, declaring that they had reached a unanimous verdict on 18 of the 20 charges brought against the former governor, that they were deadlocked on another two, and that a verdict should now be read.
Blagojevich — whose stock sank to perhaps its lowest point last year when he was 'fired' by Donald Trump on The Celebrity Apprentice — has now been found guilty of 17 of the 18 charges relating to corruption surrounding his attempts to sell President Obama’s vacant senate seat. He potentially faces a maximum of 300 years in jail.
In March of this year, Blagojevich mounted an unsuccessful attempt to petition the judge to dismiss the remaining charges, claiming a lack of funds would impede his case for the defense. He asked to be sentenced based on the verdict to come out of his trial last August, at the end of which a jury leveled a single count of guilty, declaring itself deadlocked on 23 other charges. Just how many of those charges related to the governor’s hair remains undisclosed.

It's sickening how political crimes get more punishment than moral crimes do.
