Robin Thicke was caught red-handed groping female fan, Lana Scolaro at a VMA after party after she posted a picture of the two of them on Instagram Aug 26.

In the photo, the female fan is hanging off Thicke’s shoulder, cozying up for a picture. In the background, one can clearly see the reflection in the mirror behind them, and many believe it looks like Thicke has his hand on the fan’s backside.

A fan saw the picture and tweeted it to Thicke’s wife, Paula Patton, telling her to “look at the reflection.”

Scolaro, who has been identified as a young freshman at Parsons School of Design, is very active on Instagram.

Scolaro insists that she did not manipulate the photo and wasn’t even aware of the reflection in the background of the picture until after she had posted it.

“I knew his hand was on my butt, but I didn’t know that there was a mirror,” Scolaro told E! News.

Though the picture in question has been taken off her Instagram, Scolaro left a few other pictures of herself posing with Thicke at the after party.

“I didn’t even know that was the reflection until I uploaded it, and someone commented on it. I was just like, ‘Oh I’ll Instagram this photo with Robin Thicke, like everybody else,” Scolaro said.

In the interview, Scolaro makes no allusions to any other relationship with Thicke beyond the photo, and Thicke’s relationship with his actress wife appears unaffected. According to a source, the photo is a “non-issue,” reports E! News, and Patton, Thicke and their son Julian were recently spotted enjoying family time at the beach.

Thicke has been a controversy magnet this summer, with his hit song “Blurred Lines” attracting both positive and negative attention from audiences and critics and his provocative performance with Miley Cyrus at the VMAs.
