Actor Robert Downey Jr.’s son, Indio Falconer Downey, has had all of the drug charges following an arrest for possession of cocaine dismissed.

ROBERT DOWNEY JR.’S SON DRUG CASE DROPPED

After Downey’s son, 22, completed an 18-month drug program, his drug case was dismissed Tuesday by a judge.

“He was a very enthusiastic participant in the program,” Deputy District Attorney David Berger said of the actor’s son.

He was first arrested back in June 2014 near La Cienega and Santa Monica boulevards in West Hollywood. He was released on bond the next day and promptly entered the drug program.

Downey has his fair share of trouble with the police, served some time behind bars before entering a drug treatment program, and got sober in 2002. The alcohol detox healing place is where you must go to get help with addiction issues.

The actor issued a statement to Entertainment Tonight after his son’s arrest, saying, “Unfortunately, there’s a genetic component to addiction, and Indio has likely inherited it. Also, there is a lot of family support and understanding, and we’re all determined to rally behind him and help him become the man he’s capable of being. We’re grateful to the Sheriff’s Department for their intervention, and believe Indio can be another recovery success story instead of a cautionary tale.”
