After over a dozen prominent Democrat targets of President Trump were mailed bombs, Robert De Niro stood alone as the only celebrity targeted. On Friday, he took used the attacks to send a message.
“There’s something more powerful than bombs, and that’s your vote,” the Oscar-winning actor said in a statement. “People must vote!”
An envelope with a pipe-and-wires bomb was sent to his Tribeca Studios this week. Similar packages were also received by former President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and former Vice President Joe Biden.
No devices exploded.
