Robert De Niro, 79, was seen at the kickoff of the Tribeca Film Festival with his girlfriend, Tiffany Chen, 45. The two were holding hands while walking on the carpet.

They were attending the premiere of the film Kiss The Future together for the festival’s opening night.

De Niro was wearing a grey shirt with a black jacket, black pants and black loafers.

Chen was donning a black dress with a beige cardigan on top. She had a pink designer bag and beige heels. She completed her look with sunglasses and a black headband.

They recently welcomed a baby together, Gia Virginia Chen De Niro, on April 6.

Kiss The Future was created by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. The film is a documentary and focuses on the story of an American aid worker that pitches a proposal to U2 to bring awareness about the civil war in Bosnia.

Other actors attended, including Noah Centineo, Brendan Fraser and Kate Siegel.

De Niro founded the Tribeca Film Festival with his co-founders Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff in 2001. They created it after the 9/11 attacks “to spur the economic and cultural revitalization of lower Manhattan.”

Tribeca Film Festival plans on celebrating De Niro’s 80th birthday by throwing ‘De Niro Con,’ which is an event for fans that will last for three days, and a tribute to him. The event will take place at Spring Studios in New York City on September 29 until October 1. It will feature fun interactive installations for his fans.

Rosenthal, who is currently the CEO of Tribeca Enterprises, spoke about the event: “It’s hard to know what to get Bob for his 80th birthday. He’s already got a gold watch, so we decided to celebrate him and his enduring legacy with a fun-filled fan event as well as pay tribute to his unwavering dedication to his films, art, and the city he loves.”
