Rob Schneider Seeks Forgiveness From Daughter After She Speaks Out About His Anti-LGBTQ Rant

Rob Schneider is attempting to mend fences with his estranged daughter, singer Elle King, following her recent public criticism of him.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Schneider addressed King’s comments, expressing remorse for his past shortcomings as a father. “I love you and I wish I was the father in my 20s that you needed. Clearly I wasn’t,” Schneider said, directing his words to King.

The family drama became public after King appeared on the Dumb Blonde podcast, where she spoke candidly about her strained relationship with Schneider. King voiced her disapproval of her father’s recent anti-LGBTQ statements, particularly his criticism of drag performances.

Schneider, known for his roles in comedies like Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, has faced backlash for his conservative views. In July, he sparked controversy by criticizing the Olympics opening ceremony, claiming it disrespected Christianity and “openly celebrates Satan.”

King, who has distanced herself from her father’s views, told podcast host Bunnie XO that she “disagrees” with much of what Schneider says. She accused him of “talking out of [his] a–” regarding LGBTQ issues.

The singer also revealed details about their troubled relationship during her childhood. King described being sent to “fat camp” by Schneider and feeling pressured about her appearance. She recounted having to hide tattoos from her father, who she says was against any form of self-expression.

Despite Schneider’s public olive branch, King has indicated she’s not interested in reconciliation. “I don’t want to be associated with him because he’s just not nice,” she stated on the podcast.

Schneider, for his part, is trying to maintain a positive tone. “I just want you to be well and happy with you and your beautiful baby, Lucky,” he said. “I wish you the best. I feel terrible.”

When asked how he resists retaliating against his daughter’s public comments, Schneider emphasized his unconditional love for King. “If you love someone completely… I love her, all I want for her is to be happy and to heal from this,” he explained.

Schneider was recently escorted off the stage at a fundraiser for a Canadian hospital after a series of anti-LGBTQ jokes.
