Rob Marciano Out At ABC News & Good Morning America After Ten Years
After ten years, ABC News and Good Morning America meteorologist Rob Marciano has parted ways with the network.
While details surrounding his departure remain limited, a report from Page Six in March 2023 suggested that Marciano had been “banned” from GMA tapings due to allegations of making a colleague uncomfortable. He reportedly engaged in a screaming match with a show producer.
In March 2023, word circulated that Marciano was “banned” from Good Morning America due to allegations that he made a co-worker uncomfortable.
Marciano, 55, joined ABC News in 2014, taking over the role previously held by Ginger Zee on the weekend edition of Good Morning America. Before his time at ABC, he served as an anchor for Entertainment Tonight and worked as a meteorologist for CNN. Zee and Marciano reportedly clashed over their roles at the network.
Marciano’s final segment, which focused on recovery after a tragic storm in Shreveport, Louisiana, aired on ABC World News Tonight last week.
Last autumn, Marciano celebrated his 10-year milestone with the network in an Instagram post. In the post, he wrote, “I couldn’t be more pumped to continue this journey with all of you.” He continued, “I always dreamed of working for this network as a kid, and my children are equally psyched that I will now be home most weekends!”
Marciano also hinted at “An exciting new project with NatGeo that has me exploring some very, very cool stuff.”
The news of Marciano’s firing comes two years after his ex-wife, Eryn Marciano, filed for divorce after 11 years of marriage. At the time, Marciano had said the couple had been through rough times. He told the public, “The last couple of years have been tough,” he wrote. “I didn’t want this and tried to save the marriage, but we are sadly divorcing. My focus now is on my kids.”
Marciano and Eryn were married in November 2010 and share a daughter Madelynn, and a son, Mason.
