Rob Kazinsky, 'True Blood' Actor, Enjoys Shooting Nude Scenes

Rob Kazinsky, the British actor who just joined the cast of True Blood as half-fairy Ben Flynn, quickly realized filming nude scenes was a much better experience than he had predicted.

"The idea of being naked on screen was really intimidating," Kazinsky told People. "But after your first time it becomes really fun and incredibly freeing and empowering." Kazinky, whose love interest on the show is Sookie, played by Anna Paquin, credits the actress for putting him at ease during his first nude scene. "She said, 'I've done this lots of times before, and if I'm doing it, you can do it,' " he the British actor says of working with Paquin. "She's the most non-bulls––– person I've ever met."

Though Paquin was a source of reassurance for Kazinsky, her marriage to True Blood actor and sometime-director Stephen Moyer complicated matters when it came to filming their first sex scene. "I went to Steve just before I had my first intimate scene with Anna and I said, 'Is there anything I can do to make this easier for you?' " says Kazinsky. "And he said, 'No, you're great, she's great, just go for it and have fun. It will be a great scene.' They are so secure in their relationship. That made it easier for me."

Prior to landing the part on HBO’s hit vampire drama, Kazinsky was best known for playing Sean on the British soap ppera EastEnders and Chester in 2012’s Red Tails. Kazinsky was also originally supposed to star in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit, one of the high grossing movies ever, but had to step away from the project due to personal reasons. He had been set to star as Fili, a role that ultimately went to Dean O’Gorman, who will reprise the character in the two forthcoming sequels.
