‘Riverdale’ Star Lili Reinhart Reveals That She Identifies As A ‘Proud Bisexual Woman’

Riverdale actress Lili Reinhart revealed on her Instagram story on Wednesday that she is identifies as being bisexual. 

As she showed support for the  LGBTQ+ For #BlackLivesMatter protest in West Hollywood, California she said, “Although I’ve never announced it publicly before, I am a proud bisexual woman.” She then gave details for the protests and invited her fans to follow her lead, “And I will be joining this protest today. Come join.”

Reinhart plays Betty Cooper on Riverdale alongside co-star Cole Sprouse who she has ended a relationship with a few weeks ago.

Reinhart has been using her social media platforms in order to support the Black Lives Matter movement. On June 1, she tweeted, “I want to say that I am ashamed of the racism that exists in this country. We are taught to look at our police officers as helpful and friendly when we learn about ‘leaders’ in elementary school. Our “leaders” have failed us today.”

On June 2, she participated in Black Out Tuesday by posting a black tile to her Instagram. This movement encouraged people to pause normal life to reflect on what has been happening in the United States and hopefully spur political and social change. Reinhart caption her tile, “Black Lives Matter.”

Protests were brought about in response to the death of George Floyd, a black man who was killed in police custody from an officer kneeling on his neck. 

Sprouse has also been participating in protests and recently revealed that he was detained by police. He said on Instagram, “A group of peaceful protesters, myself included, were arrested yesterday in Santa Monica. So before the voracious horde of media sensationalism decides to somehow turn it about me, there’s a clear need to speak about the circumstances: Black Lives Matter. Peace, riots, looting, are an absolutely legitimate form of protest.”
