On Tuesday, Rita Ora arrived at the taping of VH1’s Mother’s Day special Dear Mama in New York City in a stunning black number.
Ora hit the red carpet at the Dear Mama, taping in a black Vera Wang Fall 2016 gown that featured white buckles and a thigh-high slit. She completed the look with a pair of matching platform booties.
Prior to arriving at the event, Ora posted a picture to Instagram of her look, captioning it, “Vera wang gang.
Ora was accompanied to the event by her mother, Vera Sahatciu Ora, who she has called her “biggest supporter.”
“In Kosovo, my mum was a doctor, but when she came here, she had to spend six years doing all her studies again while also working as a waitress and bringing up three kids,” Ora told The Sun, referring to their move from Kosovo to England. “She never stopped reading her books, and now she’s a psychiatrist with her own practice. That’s the attitude I want to have with my work.”
Ora added, “She is my biggest supporter on the planet.”
VH1’s Dear Mama special was taped at St. Bartholomew’s Church in New York City and hosted by Black-ish star Anthony Anderson. It will air on the network Sunday, May 8 at 9 p.m. EST.
