Ringo Starr is the latest recording artist to release a new album made entirely in quarantine.
The former Beatles drummer’s new album, Zoom In, is set to be come out in March, 2021. The five song album will feature contributions from Finneas, Dave Grohl and former Beatles bandmate, Paul McCartney.
The album was recorded in its entirety at Starr’s home studio from April until October due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The first single, “Here To The Nights,” was released last week. He worked with songwriter Diane Warren on the track.
Starr joins the growing list of recording artists dropping new albums made during quarantine – Taylor Swift’s two albums, folklore and evermore, Shawn Mendes’s Wonder, Ariana Grande‘s Positions and 5 Seconds of Summer’s Ashton Irwin‘s solo album, Superbloom, to name a few.
McCartney is also releasing a new album on Friday, recorded in quarantine called McCartney III. The album features the British singer on every instrument and vocal.
