Following her Super Bowl halftime performance on Sunday, a representative for Rihanna, 34, confirmed that the pop star is pregnant with her second child.
In the opening moments of the show, the singer rubbed her stomach and left the zipper of her outfit, a red jumpsuit over a matching red bodysuit, open to reveal her belly.
This got many on social media wondering about whether Rihanna was in fact pregnant.
This didn’t appear to hinder Rihanna as she performed a medley of several of her hits over the years, including “We Found Love,” “Where Have You Been,” “Umbrella,” “Work” and “Diamonds.”
Rihanna and rapper A$AP Rocky welcomed their first child last May.
Rocky was spotted supporting the Grammy winner on the sidelines and dancing along to the music.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Rihanna said she took her time to decide whether she should sing at the Super Bowl but that becoming a mother made her want to perform at the big game.
“When you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world — you can do anything,” she said. “And the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, so as scary as that was…there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all,” she added. “It’s important for my son to see that.”
