Season three of Rick and Morty unexpectedly aired on Saturday night, putting fans in a frenzy.

RICK AND MORTY SPURS MCDONALD’S SZECHUAN SAUCE CRAZE

The episode ended with Rick begging fast food giant McDonald’s to bring back their exclusive 1998 Szechuan sauce, that was brought in for a limited time to promote Disney’s Mulan. The episode spurred on such a craze that an online petition has been launched to get the chain to rerelease the sauce. As of this writing, it has 16,392 signatures.

In addition to the Adult Swim show, Disney also announced last October that it would be moving ahead with creating a live-action version of the classic film. Live-action Mulan would join other recent remakes, including The Jungle BookBeauty and the Beast and the upcoming Lion King and Little Mermaid.

One fan actually reached a chef at McDonald’s on Twitter. “We need one of the chef’s to take that recipe off the shelf,” the tweet read. “If we can give away Big Mac sauce bottles, we can do this! @Mike_Haracz.” Mike Haracz, a chef at the restaurant chain who helps design various meals, actually responded. “I’ll see what I can do,” was his simple response.

According to Adult Swim, Rick and Morty‘s much anticipated third season will air this summer, after more than a year of delays.
