Richard Harrison (left), Pawn Stars' "Old Man," Has Died At 77
Pawn Stars‘ Richard Harrison, known by the nicknames “The Old Man” and “The Appraiser,” passed away on Monday after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 77.
Harrison’s son and Pawn Stars co-star Rick Harrison memorialized his dad via a couple of Instagram posts, with one recent photo and one from his Navy days, as he made sure to note “what a great family man” the Old Man was and how grateful he was that the whole world got to see that.
Pawn Stars, which debuted on History in 2009, details the day-to-day of the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, Nevada. It has always been a family affair. In addition to Richard and Rick, the stars of the show are Rick’s son, Corey “Big Hoss” Harrison, and Corey’s childhood friend, Austin “Chumlee” Russell.
A statement from History read, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend Richard “The Old Man” Harrison, a beloved member of the History and Pawn Stars family. He will be greatly missed for his wisdom and candor. Our thoughts are with the Harrison family during this difficult time.”
