Rhonda Rousey admitted to being slightly overwhelmed when she got the opportunity to meet CM Punk last month.
After Rousey defended her UFC women’s batamweight title against Sara McCann, she and her group of friends had a chance to hang out with CM PUNK – a bona fide star in the WWE. All Rousey could do when she saw him was admit her crush.
"I think the first thing I said to him was 'I love you,' which was terrible and not smooth at all," Rousey told Fox Sports.
While Rousey may have been off her game, falling into fan girl mode, CM Punk was happy to hang. "He was super cool," Rousey said.
Rousey, a big fan of professional wrestling, has considered adding the sport to her resume. If she were to pursue the ambition, she’d do it alongside her roommates – Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir and Jessmyn Duke.
"Professionally, who knows?" Rousey said, referring to wrestling. "Me and all the girls are huge fans. If they were all down to do something, I'd be happy to jump in with them. But I have the most hectic schedule ever with the fights and the movies right now and adding an entire career on top of that right now is a tall order."
In addition to training for her bouts, Rousey is hard at work memorizing lines. She’ll soon be getting started on filming scenes for the Entourage movie, and will also appear in The Athena Project and The Expendables 3.
