In a scathing rebuke on the House floor on Thursday, Rep. Robert Garcia (D-California) dismissed House Republicans who have persistently attempted to tarnish President Joe Biden’s reputation and asserted that it is Donald Trump and the rest of the Trump family who should be held accountable as the true “White House crime family.”

Garcia condemned GOP lawmakers for their continuous impeachment inquiry, which he deemed a political stunt, particularly in light of Joe Biden‘s son Hunter‘s recent closed-door deposition about his business dealings. Garcia emphasized that there is “zero evidence” that links Hunter to any illicit activities that involve his father.

Beside a picture of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, who both served as advisors in the Trump administration, Garcia said, “I want to remind everyone about the real White House crime family.” He continued, “Why did Saudi Arabia give Jared Kushner $2 billion – billion with a B – just months after he left the Trump White House? And why did the Saudis spend hundreds of thousands of dollars at Trump properties while he was still the president?”

Additionally, Garcia pointed out that Kushner utilized his influential position within the White House to secure a $100 billion arms deal for Saudi Arabia, among other questionable favors.

While some members of the majority agree that these actions were unethical, Garcia reminded the House of Kushner’s dismissive response when confronted with allegations of impropriety. “A few weeks ago, Jared Kushner was asked by a reporter about his grift. He responded, ‘Are we still really doing this?’ Yes, Jared, we are still really doing this,” he said.

Garcia continued, “The American people deserve answers. I rise yet again to urge my colleagues across the aisle to answer our calls and subpoena Jared Kushner’s companies once and for all. We are not stopping, and we demand answers.”

In February, Kushner divulged that if the opportunity were to present itself, he would not serve in the Trump administration a second time.

Kushner and Ivanka Trump have been busy in Miami building a new $34 million home that’s been dubbed “Mar-a-Lago 2” by locals.
