Rep. Lauren Boebert’s Son Called 911, Said His Father Was ‘Throwing’ Him Around

The teenage son of Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert called 911 while in tears on December 11, 2022, claiming physical abuse from his father, Jayson Boebert. He said his father was “throwing” him around the house and that he didn’t know why.

Shortly after making the call, and while Garfield County officers were coming to their home, he called again to retract his earlier allegation. Lauren Boebert then took the phone to say he “doesn’t need help.”

Jayson Boebert told officers that he did not mistreat his son. According to a police log, an officer said that Jayson got into an argument with his son but didn’t hurt him. The son “said he wasn’t sure why he said that his dad hurt him, but he was upset.”

Lauren publicly stated, “We’ve had some tough times and heartache. I’ve taken action to ensure there are better days ahead for all of us.”

Last month, Boebert filed for divorce from her husband after nearly two decades, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

According to a court document, Jayson Boebert became “extremely angry” when he heard the news. The process server said, “He started yelling and using profanities.”

Lauren Boebert defended her husband last week in the below tweet, saying that the process server’s account was a “complete lie.”

But Lauren Boebert is still suing for parental decision-making power and child support for the four sons they share together.

The congresswoman announced earlier that her oldest son was about to have a child, making her a grandmother at the age of 36.

The United States representative has been a major figure in the news in the past months. She shouted “build the wall” at President Joe Biden during his State of the Union address and forced a prolonged standoff with other conservative Congress members in Kevin McCarthy‘s election to House Speaker.
