Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado) was removed from a Denver theater’s performance of the Beetlejuice musical on Sunday. Boebert was reportedly disturbing the crowd by laughing, singing, recording and vaping during the show.
The congresswoman confirmed the incident on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“It’s true, I did thoroughly enjoy the AMAZING Beetlejuice at the Buell Theatre and I plead guilty to laughing and singing too loud,” she wrote. “Everyone should go see it if you get the chance this week, and please let me know how it ends!”
Boebert’s campaign manager, Drew Sexton, told The Post that Boebert denied any allegations of vaping during the performance.
According to the report, Boebert and the other patron involved resisted leaving the show, asking the ushers, “Do you know who I am?” and telling them that she would “be contacting the mayor.”
Boebert is known as a right-wing firebrand who has repeatedly called for the impeachment of President Joe Biden and even heckled the president during the State of the Union.
