Relatives of passengers on the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, distraught after nearly two weeks without answers about their fate, were dragged from a briefing that took place at a headquarters for the search operation.
Two women, believed to be Chinese, were captured on camera being forcibly removed from a hotel room in which the media was to be briefed by Malaysian officials on the status of the investigation into the disappeared plane, reported NBC News. One woman, disguised in sunglasses and a baseball cap and wearing a mask over her face, allowed herself to be guided into a nearby room.
Another woman did not go as easily. Screaming at the top of her lungs with tears rushing down her face, the middle-aged woman in a purple and red tunic was dragged away. As she was removed, photographers snapped away, drilling the woman with questions.

On Tuesday, other Chinese relatives of passengers aboard the ill-fated flight threatened to commence a hunger strike if they didn't start receiving the truth from Malaysian authorities, reported The Guardian. The group is of the belief that the Malaysian government isn’t being transparent with their search efforts or their theories about what happened to the plane.
“We will be going on a hunger strike. I’m representing [the relatives],” said a woman. “The Malaysians are counting days, but we Chinese are counting seconds. The families are at the point of collapsing. There are so many families coming and going; some have already left. The young people can stand it, but the elderly have already broken down.”
In response to the charges that not enough is being done for families of the passengers, Malaysia Airlines Chief Executive Ahman Jauhari Yahya released a statement, which read, “We are doing all that we can to ensure that we are giving sufficient assistance, information and care to all the family members in Beijing.”
