Reese Witherspoon Grabs Lunch With Lena Dunham In L.A.

Witherspoon and Dunham were spotted exiting Bouchon Bistro after a lunch date with Dunham’s writing/producing partner Jenni Konner. Though it’s possible that Witherspoon and Dunham have become friends, the lunch was likely to discuss business, as Konner was spotted with a manuscript in her hand.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Witherspoon and Bruna Papandrea’s production company Pacific Standard were set to develop a film adaptation of Wendy Walker‘s yet-to-be published novel All Is Not Forgotten. It’s possible that Witherspoon has Dunham and Konner in mind to pen the screenplay or serve as producers for the film.

All Is Not Forgotten, to be published in 2017 by St. Martin’s Press, tells the story of a Connecticut teenager who struggles to recall the details of her rape, despite the best efforts of her parents and psychiatrist.

In addition to making movies, Witherspoon has thrown herself into the fashion world with her new lifestyle and fashion brand Draper James – for which she’s received some input from The Honest Company’s Jessica Alba.

Asked how she balances her work with family life, Witherspoon admits that it’s a balancing act, but one with a big payoff.

“No one’s really doing it perfectly. I think you love your kids with your whole heart, and you do the best you possibly can,” Witherspoon told Southern Living. “There are some sacrifices you make, and it hurts your heart sometimes, but my kids tell me they’re proud of what I’ve accomplished, and that just means everything.”
