Four singers were sent packing Tuesday night in the first live elimination round of The Voice's second season, with mentors Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera each saying goodbye to two members of their teams.

The episode kicked off with Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy and up-and-coming British singer/songwriter Neon Hitch performing a rendition of their song "Ass Back Home," with members of Adam Levine's team stepping in to provide backup vocals.

Host Carson Daly led off with the results of the audience vote, which saved Team Blake's Erin Willett, Jermaine Paul and RaeLynn, leaving Charlotte Sometimes, Naia Kate and Jordis Unga in jeopardy. Over on Team Christina, Jesse Campbell, Lindsey Pavao and Chris Mann were saved by America's votes, but Sera Hill, Moses Stone and Ashley De La Rosa were not as fortunate.

The bottom three from each team returned to the stage with new songs to compete for the coach's saves. Although Shelton reassured them, "It's not the end of the road by any stretch of the imagination," it was over for Sometimes and Kate from his team. Aguilera also ultimately chose to bid adieu to Hill and Stone, leaving eight singers to advance in the competition.
