The fourth season of The Rachel Zoe Project premiered Tuesday on Bravo, bringing with it a new addition (Rachel's imminent infant, six months along when filming began) and a glaring absence (styling up-and-comer for three seasons, Brad Goreski). Dual fans of both Zoe and Goreski might have hoped that their parting was amicable, but lovers of reality TV drama no doubt reveled in Zoe's vocal disapproval of Goreski's departure.
Zoe claimed that when Goreski broke the news he'd be leaving to Zoe and husband Rodger Berman, he gave an excuse that clearly did not match up with his public behavior. "After three years of working together, Brad sat Roger and I down and said, 'I need to make a change. I want to be at home with my dog and my boyfriend, I want my personal life, I want to get out of the limelight," Zoe said. "And of course, within a week of us parting, when Brad went out on his own as a stylist he started to pursue our clients, starting going to all these events and doing all the things he said he had no interest in."
With Goreski gone and baby on the way, Zoe's styling team was understaffed for the busy awards season and the extra work of finding a roomier home, which means the pressure was on to add some manpower. Enter Jeremiah Brent, who like Goreski and Taylor from season one, seems great now but may ultimately disappoint Zoe once the fame bug bites. Zoe insisted that, after Goreski, she would not be fooled again. "It's not the first time I've been used," she said. "I would say it's going to be the last time, though."
