Actress Rebel Wilson recently took to Instagram to share some of her personal struggles with fertility. In her most recent post Wilson stated, “I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share it with… but I guess I gotta tell someone.” Wilson, 41, put the somber message underneath a photo of herself dressed casually in a zip-up hoodie and dark pants while walking along the beach at sunset.
She said that she can relate to all the women out there who struggle with fertility, and that she hopes there is light about to shine through the dark clouds. She received an outpouring of kind messages beneath the photo. Sharon Stone wrote, “Been there repeatedly, there is good news, I have three beautiful sons.”
Wilson, known for her role in the Pitch Perfect franchise, has been very open about her weight loss journey on social media, posting many of her workouts to her Instagram, as well as her struggle with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). “It’s just a hormone imbalance and you gain a lot of weight usually and that’s how it manifested in me. Sometimes, I feel sad, but then at the same time, I worked my body to my advantage. I like being all sizes. It’s just now turning 40, I am more health conscious and thinking of starting a family.”
Wilson also made the tough decision to freeze her eggs last year, and commented about it during an Instagram Live back in December 2019. “I was thinking about fertility and having good quality eggs in the bank, so I was like, ‘Ok, I’m going to do this, I’m going to get healthy,” she said.
