We haven’t seen the last of Rebecca Black yet. The 14-year-old is releasing a new single, “My Moment,” which will debut on Black’s YouTube channel at 8 p.m. on July 18, as well as the singer’s official website, RebeccaBlackOnline.com.
From July 19 onwards, the song will even be available for purchase on iTunes and other online venues, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The new single will be Black’s first new song since her debut, "Friday," made her an overnight online sensation in February. The song and Black were widely derided and parodied for the video, the banal lyrics and Black's auto-tuned voice.
"My Moment" will most likely be more of a big-budget affair with a professional video and footage of Black receiving an award at her junior high school and attending red carpet premieres to “tell the story of her sudden rise to fame,” according to a press statement. “It’s a fairytale story, but it happened in real life,” the statement continued. The song is written by Quinton Tolbert and Brandon "Blue" Hamilton, whose credits include a track on Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never: The Remixes. The video is produced by Charlton Pettus (Tears for Fears). Black is also putting the finishing touches on a five-track EP, which she will self-release in August.
The new release will be a fitting end to an incredible year for Black. Despite being almost universally panned, the YouTube video for “Friday” surpassed Bieber’s “Baby” to become the most played YouTube clip of all time, with more than 167 million views and illicit copies popping up everywhere after Black pulled it off YouTube, citing copyright issue. The teenager even co-starred in the music video for Katy Perry’s new song, “Last Friday Night."

I'm vaguely interested in seeing how this works out for her.
Aren't her 15 minutes over yet?
