Real Madrid’s Vinícius Jr. has been presented with a staggering financial offer from Saudi Arabia, according to multiple sources. The deal reportedly exceeds $1 billion and includes a five-year contract with an annual salary of approximately 200 million euros (around $218 million), plus additional bonuses.

The contract would see Vinícius, who has been a key player for Real Madrid since his transfer from Flamengo in 2018, join the Saudi Pro League. The agreement also encompasses a separate 10-year ambassadorial role in preparation for the 2034 World Cup, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia.

The 24-year-old Brazilian is currently evaluating the proposal with his team. Despite not making a decision yet, the offer marks a significant potential shift in his career.

Vinícius has been crucial for Real Madrid, contributing 24 goals and 11 assists in 39 matches last season. His performance helped secure both the Champions League and La Liga titles, marking his second and third victories in these prestigious tournaments, respectively.

Should he accept the offer, Vinícius would join a list of high-profile players in the Saudi Pro League, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Karim Benzema. However, his potential move would be noteworthy not only due to the financial magnitude but also because it would involve a young player still in the prime of his career.

The league so far has seen tiny crowds, leading many to wonder about the return on the investment for the star players.

Vinícius has spoken out recently about repeated racist attacks he’s experienced while in Spain.
