‘Real Housewives’ Stars Mauricio Umansky & Kyle Richards Deny Rumors About Divorce

The rumors circulating that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Mauricio Umansky and Kyle Richards are getting divorced are “untrue,” according to the couple.

Umansky and Richards released a joint statement on Instagram stating, “In regards to the news that came out about us… Any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue.”

They did clarify that “However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part.”

They ended the post by asking fans to give them privacy, “Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a salacious narrative. Thank you for the love and support. Kyle & Mauricio.” 

Divorce rumors were reported by several news outlets that the two are separated but are still living together. 

Umansky and Richards met back in 1994, and Umansky later proposed that same year. In 1996, they announced that they were expecting their first daughter together and married shortly after. 

Their daughter Alexia Umansky was born on June 18, which was Richards’s second child. Her first daughter is Farrah Aldjufrie, who she had with her ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie. 

On January 18, 2000, the couple welcomed their second child together, Sophia Umansky. Their third, Portia Umansky, was born on March 1, 2008.

The two starred on RHOBH in 2010 on the season one premiere. The show introduced the family in an argument between family members, which was remembered as, “the biggest surprise of the show,” at that time. 

In 2011, Umansky started The Agency, which is a real estate firm, with Blair Chang and Billy Rose as his partners. 

In more recent years, Umansky and his two daughters, Farrah and Alexia, starred in their own real estate TV series, Buying Beverly Hills, on Netflix. The show is currently available to stream and the entire first season was released in November 2022.
