The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne denied that her dramatic weight loss is due to Ozempic use. Instead, she is claiming that she lost weight because she is going through menopause.
In Watch What Happens Live, Jayne told Andy Cohen that she is “going through menopause” after he commented that she looked like a “whisper of herself.”
Before going into detail, Jayne prefaced the conversation by stating she wanted to be sensitive about the topic for any of the viewers who are experiencing an eating disorder.
“Here’s what. Let me just start off by saying, you know, I want to make sure that I don’t trigger anybody because we have this conversation in Beverly Hills, and we have a cast member with an eating disorder,” she said. Jayne is referencing her co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff, who has been public about her current battle with bulimia.
When Jayne explained that she lost weight from hormones, Cohen asked, “Not Ozempic-ally?” Cohen has previously made jokes like the Real Housewives of Ozempic is airing after several other cast members have either denied or admitted to using Ozempic for weight loss.
Jayne stated, “I was going through menopause. So, I took it all down.”
The other guest of the show Jackie Hoffman questioned this when asking, “Who loses weight in menopause?” She was pointing out that typically during menopause, women gain weight – not lose it.
Jayne only elaborated saying, “I went to the doctor, and I said get it off,” but did not go further into detail.
