'The Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Recap Season 8, Episode 13: Drama In Jamaica
In the first part of the three-part reunion special, the ladies of Real Housewives of Atlanta joined together to share the stage and look back on their most recent season.
Before the drama and bickering started, the ladies gave host Andy Cohen their life updates with Kandi Burruss having just giving birth to her son and Kenya Moore not giving a straight answer about her rumored pregnancy. “I can’t really tell you anything right now,” she said with a smile.
The show quickly moved onto the feuds over the season, starting with Kenya and Phaedra Parks. The two started off with low blows including Kenya’s “oatmeal pie face.”
Kenya snapped back, “That’s not funny.” She also slammed back with, “You’re not one to talk because on your best day and my worst, you wouldn’t even be my third runner-up.”
Phaedra countered with noting that Kenya is “not married” and has “no children.”
The spat ended with the two sort of apologizing to the other.
The first part of the reunion ended with the biggest feud of the season between Kenya and Kim Fields. Before the drama was dissected, Andy asked each of the housewives if they thought Kim was a good addition to the show and it was a collective “no.”
“I don’t know still to this day if it’s a fit per se, but was it entertaining? A lot of times yes,” Kim started before the others weighed in. Kenya said she was too “condescending” for the show, Kandi and Phaedra agreed she wasn’t fit for the drama, and Cynthia Fields commented that Kim “looked uncomfortable.”
The conversation shifted to Kenya taking responsibility for acting childish during the group trip to Jamaica when she pulled Kim’s chair out. “I recognized that I was out of line for doing that and I apologized to Kim,” she said. Kim said she was lucky to have her husband there to help calm her down and Cynthia added Kim handled the situation maturely.
From there, the discussion went downhill. Kim eventually shouted over Kenya telling her to stop talking over the other housewives.
“What is your point now?” Kenya asked.
“I am making it!” Kim shouted back.
“Okay and we are bored, so please get to it,” Kenya replied.
“Say something!” Kim yelled.
“Something, Kim,” Kenya also yelled.
Before anyone else could say “something,” the show ended.
Part two of Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion airs on Bravo on Sunday, March 27, at 8 p.m. EST.
