The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Adrienne Maloof has been granted temporary custody of her three children, 9-year-old Gavin and 6-year-old twins Christian and Collin, as well as a restraining order against her soon-to-be ex-husband Paul Nassif, under grounds that he used unduly force while chastising one of their sons. Nassif was accused of choking Collin and smacking him on "his wet bare bottom" after the child urinated on his sibling in the bath — a revelation made by the child to doctor Charles Sophy. "I sat down with the children, and I observed no sign of embellishment," Sophy told E! Online. "I found them to be completely credible."

Maloof also declared in court earlier this month that Nassif "lacks sound judgment, has a violent temper and regularly behaves in an irresponsible manner," adding that he "often shoved me to the ground, pulled my hair, and yelled at me" and had threatened to ruin her and take her children away. Maloof added that Nassif violently yanked and spanked the children whenever they so much as used the wrong utensil, and that Nassif kept a gun around the house, carelessly leaving it where the children could easily access it.

Maloof made the allegations in court during divorce proceedings, catching the lawyerless Nassif — who apparently did not know that Maloof had knowledge of the child abuse incidents — unawares. His legal team fervently denied the accusations afterwards. They are expected to attend court for a second hearing on October 9. In the meantime, Nassif has been ordered to keep 100 yards away from Maloof and the children, and move out of their Beverly Hills home.
