Ray J Releases ‘I Hit It First’ About Ex-Kim Kardashian, Kanye West

Ray J released a new single called “I Hit It First,” which contains lyrics that are leading many to believe that it’s about his ex Kim Kardashian and her new fiancé, Kanye West.

Back in 2007, Ray J made a sex tape with Kardashian that was leaked to the masses and subsequently served to turn Kardashian from your average socialite into one of reality TV’s most recognizable brands. Ray J’s career didn’t skyrocket quite the way that Kardashian’s did, and soon enough the pair split.

What makes people so sure “I Hit it First” is about Kardashian? For starters, the album artwork looks as though it’s a pixelated image of her on the beach. Additionally, the blurry artwork calls to mind the album art of West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

More importantly are the lyrics, which make more than one allusion to the pregnant power couple. “She might move on to rappers and ballplayers/But we all know I hit it first,” the song goes, with a Kris Humpries and West reference. “I had her head going North and her a– going South/But now baby chose to go West,” it continues with a nod to the sex tape.

Ray J is rumored to have a video for the song in the works that will feature a Kim K look-a-like, reported TMZ.

Ray J’s “I Hit It First” will be available on iTunes on Tuesday, April 9.
