Raven-Symone Officially Joins ‘The View’ As Co-Host

Raven-Symone has officially been tapped to become the fourth co-host on ABC’s The View.

The View announced Wednesday that Raven-Symone would be joining Rosie Perez, Whoopi Goldberg and Nicolle Wallace as a co-host on the daytime program.

“I am so happy. I remember coming The View for The Cheetah Girls,” Raven-Symone said when the news was revealed by Goldberg. “I am very happy to be sitting with these smart, talented mentors.”

Raven-Symone, who is best known for starring on Disney’s That’s So Raven, then cheered, “You guys, let’s have some fun!”

The actress later took to Twitter and Instagram to share the news, and to show how excited she is about landing the new gig.

“I’m soooooooooooooooo happpppyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,” Symone captioned a picture on Instagram. “#theview #unicorn #goals @abctheview @whoopigoldberg @rosieperezbrooklyn.”

The View had been in need of a new regular co-host since Rosie O’Donnell departed the show for a second time earlier this season after splitting with wife Michelle Rounds. In recent years, The View has also said goodbye to Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd.

Prior to getting the job as co-host, Raven-Symone had served as a guest host an impressive 37 times.
