Rascal Flatts surprised a couple on their wedding day with a live performance for their first dance.
The musical trio showed up to the Wisconsin wedding to perform “Bless the Broken Road” for Sara and Brandon McInnis‘ first dance as husband and wife. They had planned to dance to the song played by a DJ, and were shocked when they found out the band was there.
A friend of the couple’s secretly asked the band to come play in person on their way to a music festival in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. “We looked out the window here and we see three more black SUVs and they open the door to talk to them and my bartender was like, ‘That’s Rascal Flatts.’ I’m like, ‘Shut up’,” said Brady Robus told TMJ4, the co-owner of Sugar Island Barn.
“When they started walking in we knew immediately who they were,” the bride recalled. “I started bawling, he started crying… One of the best things was that they said they were going to be praying for us. Because obviously marriage isn’t an easy thing, it’s kinda difficult. So we’ll be praying for them, they’ll be praying for us and it was a great, great, great experience.”
