Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine Claims His Home Was Raided By Feds For No Reason: ‘I Have Done Nothing Wrong’

Controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, has claimed that while conducting a raid of his home, feds cuffed him for six hours, despite him “not having done anything wrong.”

Hernandez’s Florida mansion was raided by law enforcement at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning, March 12. Hernandez has said that firearms and drugs were confiscated for no good reason and he was made to give DNA samples to the authorities. He further asserted that his home was wrecked in the raid.

The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office provided its own account of the event, labeling it a “probation” check in which US Probation officers and the Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Investigation executed a search warrant. It was also emphasized that Hernandez was not arrested during the raid, but rather handcuffed for the duration of the raid to ensure the officers’ safety. While the sheriff’s office confirmed that several items were confiscated for further inspection, no comment was made on Hernandez’s claims that such objects were guns and drugs.

Hernandez was sentenced to two years in prison in 2019 when he pleaded guilty to charges that he joined and directed violence by the gang Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. He was freed the following year in 2020, in time to suffer the effects of COVID-19. However, last October he was arrested for violating the terms of his release, allegedly failing drug tests and ignoring laws in place that exempt him from traveling. In a deal with federal prosecutors, Hernandez served 45 days in prison, followed by a 30-day house incarceration period, 30 days of home detention, and 30 days of home curfew.

Hernandez has a long history of run-ins with the law. He was accused of choking a young woman at the mall and has separate pending litigation in the Dominican Republic for charges of battery, domestic violence, and failure to appear in court.

Hernandez’s last album Blackballed was released in January 2024, causing a stir with a guest appearance by Kodak Black on the final track.
