Rapper Mac Miller died Friday at the age of 26.
According to TMZ, the Pittsburgh native was found dead at his home in California of an apparent drug overdose. The Huffington Post reported that Miller had dealt with substance abuse issues for years.
Miller was known for singles like “Loud,” “Donald Trump,” “S.D.S” and “Goosebumpz.”
Miller, who was born Malcolm McCormick, also produced music under the alternate name Larry Fisherman. He famously dated pop star Ariana Grande from August 2016 to May 2018. The pair collaborated on several songs together, including 2013’s “The Way” and 2016’s “My Favorite Part.”
The rapper was also not afraid to comment on socio-political issues. In March 2016, he slammed President Donald Trump — then a presidential candidate — for his racist rhetoric in a segment on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. A clip was aired on the late-night show of Trump praising Miller after the song named for him was released in 2011. Trump called Miller “the new Eminem,“ but then sued the rapper for royalties for using his name after the track went platinum.

Miller later emphasized his disdain for Trump in a December 2015 tweet, just six months after the former Apprentice host announced his candidacy for president.
“Just please don’t elect this motherf—er, man,” Miller wrote.
Several celebrities quickly shared tributes to Miller on social media on Friday, including fellow Pittsburgh native rapper Wiz Khalifa and Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell.
