Rapper Flo Rida Agrees To Pay $500,000 A Year In Child Support For Disabled Son After Ex Had To Go On Medicaid

Flo Rida agreed to an extensive child-support package for his son during a Family Court hearing in New York City last week. It involves a combination of monthly and annual payments that add up to nearly half a million dollars per year.

The rapper was told to pay $14,000 a month in support and $2,212 a month in health insurance for Zohar Dillard, his six-year-old son who has autism and a neurological disorder called hydrocephalus. He was also made to create a $300,000 escrow account for Zohar’s needs that would need to be restored annually. In addition, he was ordered to send a one-time $188,000 payment to his ex-girlfriend Alexis Adams to repay her for expenses, including Zohar’s school costs.

Adams, who has full custody of Zohar, alleged that she had to go on Medicaid after Flo Rida did not pay their son’s health insurance and medical bills after an accidental five-story fall on March 4 that shattered his pelvis, fractured his left foot and caused internal bleeding. She also accused the rapper of failing to comply with a 2018 order that demanded that he pay $9,000 a month plus medical and school costs.

Flo Rida has been doing well financially. In January, he was awarded $82.6 million from the energy drink company Celsius after he and his production company sued them in 2021 for violating stock-option provisions in a past endorsement deal. The rapper has been a star since his 2007 single, “Low,” which became a club staple and topped the Billboard charts for 10 weeks.
