Azealia Banks alleged that Russell Crowe called her the N-word and spat on her before kicking her out of a party in his hotel suite.
Banks, 25, posted a vague status to her Facebook page, which read: “To recap my night, I went to a part[y] at Russell crowe’s suite, at which he called me a n—-r, choked me, threw me out and spat at me. Last night was one of the hardest nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time. The men in the room allowed it to happen.”
A follow up post, which has also since been deleted, said, “I wish I had someone to beat him up for me.”
According to TMZ, Banks had attended a dinner party with RZA, formerly of the Wu-Tang Clan, but turned director, who had cast Banks in Coco. Witnesses that evening say Banks was laughing at Crowe and other guests for their musical tastes and called them “boring white men.” She later allegedly threatened to break a glass, cut them and watch them bleed, after she was told to calm down. Following this, Crowe removed Banks from his hotel suite and called security.
This is just the latest in a string of incidents in which Banks is involved. Her Twitter was suspended earlier this year when she spit racial slurs at former One Direction band member Zayn Malik. She was later dropped from the Rinse Born & Bred music festival.
Before that, the rapper was almost sued by former Alaska governor Sarah Palin for saying she wished the “biggest burliest blackest negroes” would “run a train on her,” in response to fabricated quotes attributed to Palin.
Banks has been involved in numerous other ridiculous feuds over the past few years. It seems that the Crowe incident is just another added to that dialogue. Crowe has yet to respond to the allegation.
