The Queen of Versailles star Jackie Siegel shared a video on her social media to update fans on the current state of construction of her megamansion in Florida.

The house, which has been under construction for over 20 years and is 90,000 square feet, was featured in the video but lacked furniture and had some floorboards missing. The room she showed had an intricate gold and cream ceiling, and a chandelier could be seen in the background. The house includes five kitchens, a 150-person dining room, a ballroom, a British-style pub and a 35-car garage.

“I’m over at Versailles, and we’re getting closer,” Siegel said as she filmed the home’s interior. “We’re getting closer to getting done. There’s still a little bit of work.”

The update was delivered after the house was damaged by flooding caused by Hurricane Ian in 2022.

“It makes me so sad,” Jackie said in an interview with People. “Me and the boys worked so hard to get where we were. I am very shaken up.” Photos showed debris left from the flooding, including bubbled and broken ceilings left behind after the hurricane.

The Siegels began construction on their property in 2004. In 2012, the couple gave an inside glimpse of how the 2008 global economic crisis threatened construction, featured in the documentary The Queen of Versailles. Siegel was widely criticized for her over-the-top display of wealth.

In 2022, the family showcased their home again with the television show Queen of Versailles Reigns Again. When completed, the property will be the largest single-family home in the United States.

The family also lives in a New York City penthouse they purchased in December 2023. The penthouse, which covers nearly 5,000 squar feet., is situated on the top of a historic former bank. It has an open floor plan and three bedrooms and five bathrooms, as well as floating mirrors and walk-in closets.
