Katie Holmes, 32, isn't totally friendless these days.
The Batman Begins actress has had a few bad weeks, both with the cancelation of her miniseries, The Kennedys, in which she portrays an unsympathetic Jackie Kennedy opposite Greg Kinnear's JFK, and the general poor reception of her new motion picture, The Son of No One.
The movie bombed at the Sundance Film Festival, though producer Cassian Elwes denies rumors of a "mass exodus" from the screening, according to UsMagazine. "There wasn't a mass exodus," Elwes said. "The people who did see it, liked the film." He explained that a few people did leave early, but due only to a misunderstanding when a projectionist accidentally turned on the lights a few scenes before the credits rolled.
Elwes also defends Holmes' performance. "Despite Katie's few scenes, she was fantastic in the role," he said. "We've already received three offers on the film. We're 100 percent behind her and the entire cast's performances in this film."
Elwes added that Holmes is "very upset by this attack." —KIMBERLY STEELE
