Priscilla Presley is likely going through an emotional week, as last Tuesday marked the 45th anniversary of the death of her husband, Elvis Presley. Days after hosting a candlelight vigil Monday night that was attended by over 30,000 people, Presley was interviewed on Today where she reflected on living past the rock icon.

She told the Today hosts that she is still determined to continue Elvis’ legacy. “Anything he wanted to do or wished to do as far is in life, I want to try to get that to happen. It’s a big responsibility,” Presley said.

While the two were divorced by the time of his death in 1978, they remained close and the singer clearly still has a soft part in Priscilla’s heart.

In the interview, she also heaped praise onto the recent biopic Elvis directed by Baz Lurhmann.

While she admitted she was initially wary of the film, she admitted it was a “great movie” and said of Lurhmann, “I don’t know anyone else who could’ve done this movie like he did.”

Presley also mentioned that seeing scenes of Elvis, played by Austin Butler, clashing and arguing with his film agent “brought back memories” because she remembered the real-life fights they were based on.
