Elvis Presley would have turned 80 on Thursday, and his family, including ex-wife Priscilla Presley and their daughter Lisa Marie Presley, gathered at Graceland to celebrate the King of Rock and Roll.
Graceland, Elvis’ famous estate in Memphis, hosted the grand celebration of Elvis Presley Day, and hundreds of fans gathered to honor Elvis with his family. Graceland’s celebration was live streamed for fans across the world, but only those brave enough to stand outside Graceland in 12-degree weather were granted a taste of the 8-tier birthday cake.
“He would have been amazed to see you turn out for his birthday…His fans – there’s nothing like you…Thank you all, thank you grandparents, for passing his legacy down to young kids,” Priscilla told the crowd.
Lisa Marie brought her four children, Benjamin Keough, actress Riley Keough, and twins Harper and Finley Lockwood, to the event, and they all led the crowd in a performance of “Happy Birthday” for the rocker.
“There’s really nowhere else we’d rather be,” Lisa Marie told the crowd.
