Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visit Social Bite, a Collaborative Movement to End Homelessness in Edinburgh
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting ready to wed this upcoming Saturday. However, there is one person who will be greatly missed during the Royal Wedding, Princess Diana of Wales.
Throughout the planning process of the wedding, there have been different ways that the family has found to make sure Diana’s presence is felt during her son’s monumental day.

One way the Princess will be there is through the wedding ring. The ring that Harry gave Markle includes two diamonds from his mother’s own jewelry collection. The center diamond in the ring is from Botswana in Africa. In an interview, Harry said he designed the ring to have his mother’s jewels “to make sure she’s with us on this crazy journey together.”
Princess Diana’s original infamous diamond and sapphire was given to Kate Middleton by Prince William when they got engaged.
Another way Princess Diana will be present at the wedding is by the floral decorations. Philippa Craddock, the couple’s chosen florist will fill the chapel with white roses, which were Diana’s favorite. The Crown Estate gardeners have been growing and preparing the flowers for their wedding day.

The couple have also invited Diana’s siblings, Earl Charles Spencer, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes to the wedding. Lady Jane have been chosen to give a reading at the wedding ceremony. “Prince Harry and Ms. Markle both feel honoured that Lady Jane will be representing her family and helping to celebrate the memory of the late Princess on the wedding day,” said a palace statement.
Prince Harry is a firm believer that Markle and his mother would have gotten along if she were still alive today. “They’d be thick as thieves, without question,” Harry said in an interview. “I think she would be over the moon, jumping up and down, you know so excited for me, but then, as I said, would have probably been best friends with Meghan.”
The Royal Wedding will be internationally televised this upcoming Saturday.
