Since making its debut at the Royal Wedding, Princess Beatrice’s eccentric hat has garnered lots of attention. The princess is auctioning the unique headpiece, designed by Philip Treacy on eBay. Proceeds will benefit UNICEF UK and Children in Crisis through her organization, The Little Bea Initiative. With nearly two full days left, the current bid stands at $81,500. There was a major jump in bids in the past 24 hours, when the price stood at an already shocking $30,000.
"I've been amazed by the amount of attention the hat has attracted," Beatrice, 22, wrote on the eBay listing page. "It's a wonderful opportunity to raise as much money as possible for two fantastic charities. I hope whoever wins the auction has as much fun with the hat as I have."
